Entourage Irony, or Art Fails to Imitate Life

Went to Create/Fixate last night with Radcliffe. As we walk up the stairs, Mark is surprised to find that there's a line at the door, which is actually pretty standard. We get up to the front of the line, just as the Fire Marshall walks up and proclaims capacity is 500, and that the current occupancy is.... you guessed it, 500!

This leads to confusion and much angst. The doorman freaks and keeps saying "Calm down! I can't talk to you if you're not CALM!" to people who are indeed, already calm.

Many Angelenos are shocked to find that there is no strategem that will get them past the doorman. Such a world can't possibly exist.

And then, who should materialize at the front of the line but Mr. Entourage himself, Adrien Grenier. In slow motion (seemingly), he approaches the doorman. You can feel the buzz in the room. I don't think the doorman can even see through his fire marshall induced panic, and he tells Adrien to calm down! and to go stand in line with the other people holding wristbands.

Amazing.

Adrien calmly accepts this. No one sniggers, surprisingly. I remark to Radclifffe that Drama would've got in.

2 celebrity sightings, 2 days. Maybe I'll see Michael Chiklis today or something.

HBO: Vince - Character Bio - Entourage: "Vince
Played By Adrian Grenier

Vince Chase is a rising star in Hollywood. A native of Queens, Vince has seen his profile (and his paychecks) steadily increase over the last year. But stardom is never a guarantee, and Vince made a risky choice in picking the indie film 'Queens Boulevard' instead of a larger, more commercial film. Luckily, Vince's turn in 'QB' paid off, leading to him being cast in James Cameron's upcoming blockbuster 'Aquaman.'"
