fucking geniuses. must be all of the fried plantains in Miami.

Charleston.Net: Business: New Molson ad drive paying off 04/14/03 In May issues of Cosmopolitan, Molson introduces the fictional "Molson man" -- a hunk straight out of central casting who's shown cradling two puppies. The copy reads: "His address: The intersection of confidence and compassion. His beer: Molson Canadian." Women are then directed to Molsonman.com, where they'll find additional photos and a biography.

At the same time, guys reading Playboy, FHM and Ramp, among others, will see a copy of the Cosmo ad, with accompanying text explaining how Molson is making it easier for guys to meet women.

"Hundreds of thousands of women. Pre-programmed for your convenience," the copy reads. "As you read this, women across America are reading something very different: an advertisement scientifically formulated to enhance their perception of men who drink Molson." The spoof comes as Molson, armed with a small budget, realized it couldn't play in the same realm as Miller and Coors Brewing Co.
