DDB CEO Kaess Dies at 51

They're having a memorial happy hour, for lack of a better description, for DDB's former CEO. He was the President of the office here before moving up.

Apparently, he was verrrry well liked. Not a shit in a suit at all.

So, my CD and I were talking. He's Irish and wants a wake. I'm a... well, I'm me. And I'd like to state unequivocably for the record that I would like a Roast if I were to die young. Not planning on that at all, but you never know.

Be wonderful out there.

DDB CEO Kaess Dies at 51: "NEW YORK DDB worldwide CEO and president Ken Kaess, who spent 20 years at DDB and rose to CEO in 2001, died Monday of cancer at his family's home in Westport, Conn. He was 51.

'Like all of you, I will miss him very much,' wrote Omnicom Group CEO John Wren, in a memo that DDB shared with its employees. 'He was the driver behind DDB's success these last five years and, of course, I will miss him in that role. But I also will miss his friendship and positive spirit.'"
